deviantART was on TV + join the art challenge!
A long time ago (about 24 hours), in a galaxy far, far away (down the road in Hollywood), comedian and television host Chris Hardwick introduced a segment on his late-night Comedy Central show — aptly titled midnight (https://www.deviantart.com/midnight) (get it?) — that got many of us at deviantART all aflutter.
First of all, if you love the Internets and you haven't seen midnight (https://www.deviantart.com/midnight) yet, you're missing out on some serious lulz. A few nights a week, Hardwick invites some comedian pals on the show for some Geek-Centric Improv Comedy. Sort of like a British Quiz Show brought to you by Reddit. Or "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" with slightly less dancing, but an equal amount

This year's preparation was a rather rough one. I had to stay up through all 3 nights to prepare more prints because I didn't print enough T^T. The positive side was the good business...TuT but I'm so tired and worn out.

Merimask's Designs on stage with Katy Perry!
I am ~thrilled~ to be able to announce that my masks are appearing on stage all over the world right now, as part of Katy Perry's "Prismatic" world tour! I created three modified versions of my Industrial Egyptian masks for costume designer Marina Toybina, and they are part of an extravagant, spectacular performance with an Egyptian theme.
Great thanks to Allison Habel and Marina, for being so wonderful to work with. Allison found me on my Facebook page...that's social media magic for you.
Thanks also to ~Archaical (https://www.deviantart.com/archaical) , for building this amazing graphic for me!
As always, you can find me at the following places:

''Guess What Today It Is?'' + updates
"Guess what today it is?" was what I said to my family last night when I realized it was after midnight. They responded with "Happy Birthday!" and then continued by laughing at my spoken typo.
Thanks to everyone who has wished me "Happy Birthday!"
I thought I should take this chance to update everyone as to what I've been up to, since I haven't posted anything in weeks. I have a few questions for you guys. It would be great if I could get you're input.
PPS Stuff
I have been spending most of this time off line getting PPS Ch01 ready for publication and have sent it to be processed for publication. When it is done processing I will be sent
I've been in China for almost a week now, and all the memories I have of this place is flooding back. Unfortunately, many of those memories are quite negative. A lot of people commented on my last journal asking why my stepmom and half brother had tried to kill me. It's not a secret and I'm in a weird mood right now so I'll retell the story.
I last visited China almost five years ago. I was unfortunate enough to be stranded at the LAX airport for two days. During that time, I met another girl my age who was also returning to China to visit family. We talked for a long time and I found out her parents are also divorced like mine. She told me
Watercolor Techniques I
Traditional Art Week at projecteducate (https://www.deviantart.com/projecteducate) continues! During Artist's Toolbox weeks, I've published articles dedicated to watercolor tools (Watercolor Equipment I - Basic Tools, Watercolor Equipment II - Additional Tools). You should go grab your tools now, because the next series of articles will be focusing on painting methods. I sincerely hope these will help you and wish you all happy painting! :#1:
Laying a wash
A wash is a large area in a watercolor painting where the paint flow and diffusion have been manipulated to efface individual brushstrokes. Within wash areas, color transitions are usually gradual and

Figuring Out the RP Group
*-marks an updated section.
I decided to make a Journal so you guys know how close I am to making the group. I will update it as I figure out more. Please ask me questions about it here. It will help me figure what I need to work on next. Any feedback on this is welcome. I want to be able to make a group that people will enjoy.
The back story is based on a story I am writing with ~SparkleFairyMangoFsh (https://www.deviantart.com/sparklefairymangofsh). That story is a bunch of smaller stories using alternate universe versions of the same characters. This group is yet another AU and will have no impact on the stories we are writing. The four characters from the story make their way into

Waterbased Media!
I love water-based media! What is “waterbased media” you say? Well that would be any kind of water-soluble ink or paint! There are many advantages to working with water-based media, the main one being that many water-based paints and inks are not extremely dangerous to work with (in comparison to oils which are not good to get on your hands people…wear gloves!), there is no need for special clean up or a specific work environment (on that note, please PLEASE do not paint with oils in your living room). Another advantage to working with water-based media is quick drying times. This is a pro especially if y
